Each year, Josie and the Emeralds honour St Cecilia, Patron Saint of Music. John Dowland’s Lachrimæ or seaven teares figured in seaven passionate pavans, songs from his Pilgrim’s Solace, music by William Byrd, John Blow, Elvis Costello and the premiere of Phoenix Chaconne by Brooke Green, are among the delights of this year’s St Cecilia’s Day program.
